Full dentures

Full dentures are available direct to patients. Each appliance is custom made in house to your unique oral requirements. Soft linings can be added to make lower dentures more comfortable. Chrome castings can be added to upper dentures to make them stronger, thinner and lighter. The teeth can also be set up from photographs to help you feel more like you again.
Partial dentures

Partial dentures can be made in either cobalt chrome (metal) or a range of acrylics such as traditional hard acrylic resins or from flexible materials such as Valplast or Duraflex. Each material has different design requirements and some may not be suitable for you. We will take you through every possible option available. We will then draw up a treatment plan with your ideal outcome in mind. Partial dentures are available on prescription or oral health check with your dentist. They can be supplied direct to patients via the clinic but some design outcomes will depend on your dentists oral health assessment.
Denture reline/rebase

If your dentures are loose or poorly fitting and the teeth are still in good condition. It may be possible to reline or rebase them. This procedure tightens the fit surface improving the suction of the upper denture and the stability of the lower. Reline or rebase options will be discussed with you if it is a possible option during your consultation visit.
Denture repairs

Fractured dentures can be repaired in house in a matter of a few hours if needed. Unfortunately no guarantee is given on repairs and they may last a few years months or weeks depending on what caused the fracture. These can be supplied by post.

Other removable dental appliances are available such as Bleaching trays, Sports Mouth Guards, Retainers and Anti snoring devices can also be supplied to you via our Clinical Laboratory however some may require a prior assessment with a Dentist or sleep specialist prior to treatment.
Oral health screening
Quality Care
If you have no natural teeth please feel free to take advantage of our free oral health screening service. To encourage patients with no teeth to return to the clinic for a check up. We will give a once yearly free oral cancer screening service to our edentulous patients.
Immediate dentures
Here For You
Sometimes due to either trauma or infection a Dentist may inform you they need to remove your teeth. If you are concerned about your dental appearance following the loss of your teeth and you want them replacing immediately an immediate denture can be constructed at the Laboratory prior to your teeth being removed. This can then be fitted by your dentist immediately following the removal of your teeth. These will require further work to remain stable over the coming months via means of rebasing and are considered a long term temporary solution while you are healing.

At Belvoir Clinical Dental Laboratory, our patient and friendly staff will make sure you feel comfortable and well-informed every step of the way. Our mission is to provide the highest level of Denture care to the Melton and Leicestershire area.
Melanie Griggs RDN, RDT, CDT
Treating patients has always been a privilege to me. Dentures and Dental appliances have always been my passion. I have worked in the Dental industry for about 15 years. I started my career in Dental Nursing during which time I worked with a group of talented Dentists. Here I gained experience in implant surgery, orthodontics and a host of other special interests. I later progressed into Dental technology and graduated with Distinction in the FdSc in Dental Technology at De Montfort university Leicester. From there I decided to extend my scope again and graduated with Distinction on the Diploma in Clinical dental Technology at the Royal collage of Surgeons of England. Dentistry is a massively diverse field and I have had the pleasure of working with a mass of highly qualified specialists both in and out of the hospital sector as well as assisting with research and development projects within the 3D printing field. I love to put the skills I have acquired together to deliver better quality care and extended options to my patients. I feel if there is one simple thing I have learned that cannot be taken for granted it is listening to my patients. You learn so much from seemingly short conversations about what a persons needs really are and I tailor my appliances around these discussions. I try to always allow extra time for people at each stage of the fitting process to discuss any changes or feelings they are having to ensure the future success of the appliance.

What is your new patient procedure?
New patient consultations are free, simply make an appointment and our clinician will examine you and discuss any problems you are having. With no obligation to continue with treatment.
Do you treat anxious patients
Most patients have some worries when visiting a new clinic. We aim to put you at ease and you would be surprised at how many patients worry about impressions or there overall oral condition. We take our time and can book longer for appointments for patients who state they are worried about a particular procedure so they have time to talk about it and feel at ease throughout.
Do you offer free denture consultations?
Yes and this is also maintained throughout the year for our edentulous patients (Patients with no teeth) We take your oral health seriously and understand the need to recall our patients for examinations and follow up care.
Do you charge for adjustments?
Sometimes, adjustments to new dentures made at the clinic are covered and as such form part of your treatment and we do not charge for this. Adjustments to immediate dentures like rebase and relines are charged but this will always be discussed with you up front. This should be detailed in your treatment plan. Adjustments made to dentures from outside of the clinic are also chargeable
Do you have free parking?
Yes, we have ample parking and there are also disabled parking bays outside the front of the building
Are there any upfront fees?
No we charge on the day we fit your appliance. There are no upfront charges
